Distinguished Service Membership under the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Scotland is a fairly new addition to their Constitution.

In 1954, Bro. Shawak P. Dadachanji, the then Rt. Wor. District Grand Master instituted a special Jewel of the District Grand Lodge, which was presented to the recipient of this honour along with the Diploma of Distinguished Service Membership of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. • MEC Bomi Mehta was the first recipient of this honour in our Royal Arch District of India & Ceylon.
• On the recommendation of MEC Bomi Mehta as Honorary 2nd Grand Principal; MEC Pervez Mistry* was conferred this honour.
• On the recommendation of MEC Bomi Mehta as Honorary 2nd Grand Principal; MEC Aspi Byramji was conferred this honour .
